This week ended up being pretty good for us. We talked to a lot of people and overall it just went well. I have a letter I'll be sending your way so you should get it sometime this next week!
This week 3 of the people we are teaching came out to church. It was awesome to see them all there. I think they had a really good time.
On Saturday I went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders. I went with Elder Lloyd, an elder that I came out with me, to Farm 2 ward. We talked a lot about all the good times we had in the mtc haha. We had quite the experiences there. We ended up going to a baptism that was pretty awesome and handed out a few book of mormon's as we knocked some doors.
Besides that, not too much is new around here. We are just enjoying pday :) .
Well I love you guys and hope you have a fantastic week!

So this week was transfers....... Bum bum buuuuuuuuuuummm.... Big news. Big news indeed. I am getting transfered down to Grants! Haha I am pretty excited for it. I will tell you how it is when I get there.
Let's see, this week was awesome! What makes a good week is one where I feel happy with what I've done. This week two awesome families came out to church! We were excited to see them there and they both were blessed because of it. The primary also had all the elders in our ward do singing time. We improvised but it seemed like it all worked out well. They gave us some knock knock jokes we could tell and I got a pretty classic one. "Knock knock, whos there, turnip, turnip who, turn up the volume when we sing scripture power" Haha the kids all seemed to get a kick out of that. We met with a part member family this week who has been through soooo much. I used to think I knew a lot about trials and the hardships people have gone through but I seem to learn more everyday that there is a story behind each person we meet. I am starting to think all the times mom and pops told me that they know more than I think they know, they are right haha. On Saturday we went and helped clean up the church. Elder Short is hilarious. We had a cool experience tracting this week, were we talked to a lady who as soon as we brought up the BoM got a huge smile on her face, and that usually means they have heard some anti about it ha, but she asked the questions that were logical to ask like:what is the difference between it and the bible. Well the bible was written by prophets over by jerusalem in that part of the world and the book of mormon was written by prophets here in the americas. They both testify of the divinity of Jesus Christ. And we told her all we do as missionaries is invite people to read, ponder, and pray about it. Her whole attitude about the BoM changed and she accepted it. It was a cool experience. Another awesome experience this week was a baptism in another ward. She was going to be baptised before but backed out because there were too many people there. I think that was when she was 8. And so she was getting b aptized now. The baptism was very simple. Just an opening song, prayer, baptism, a few words by the bishop, and then a closing prayer. No talks given, no refreshments, but simply a sacred ordinance being performed. And when she was baptized again I had the same thought thinking, we all come together for this grand occasion and the simple baptism happens. Just a prayer and bringing them in and out of the water. It is so simple, yet it is the only way we can access the atonement. It is the only way we can be washed clean from sin. The bishop remarked on how similar her baptism was to the saviors baptism. As His there wasn't any refreshments and talks given, but simply a sacred ordinance done in the name of the Lord by His authority. It was a special experience for me. Not to mention how awesome the family was whose daughter was getting baptized. I have started reading in the Bom again. It was hard for me to get going again. I think sometimes I got to caught up in the marking that reading became a burden instead of a blessing. I just decided to start reading through it again and I am in 2Nephi and man what a blessing it has been. One day three "don'ts" stuck out to me I am sure there are more, but there came from Laman and Lemuel. Don't be prideful. Don't become careless. Don't murmur, against others or against God. So many times I have found myself on my mission murmuring. I don't want to do this or that. I don't want to get up in the morning and other things. Murmuring doesn't solve a thing. It is a poor way to react to life. Rather a resolve to ask what you need to do and what you need to learn from a certain experience allows even those times when we feel to murmur be a blessing in our own life. Don't become careless, basically came from when nephi and his family finished building the boat and were on there way to the promised land. Laman and Lemuel had repented and helped build the boat, but they became careless. They made themselves merry and and started to speak in rudeness. When things are going well, don't get careless and lose the good you have, but stay aware and ready and keep doing the things that are right. And finally don't be prideful. Awe the wonderful sin of pride. If I could just stay humble all the time, I think I would be listening to dads quote: "Life is hard, but it's even harder if you are stupid." Pride makes me think of the scripture story I have already shared with you guys: Luke 18:13
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am anot as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
This scripture is just awesome. A way this scripture was described to me was this. The Pharisee probably actually did all that he said he did. But the publican was humble, smote his chest, and recognized his sins before God. Christ says that the publican went away justified rather then the Pharisee. Humility, is important.
I heard a really awesome interview of Elder Scott this week. His wife passed away over ten years ago. They started talking about his wife and the interviewer asked basically how him losing her affected him. There was a pause and in a gentle loving very humble voice Elder Scott replied, "First of all, I didn't lose her." He talked about temples and the sealing power. He knows he is gonna be with her after this life. It was powerful to me.
Well I love you so much family!!!! I hope you all are doing well. Thanks for the details about your lives and all the support you give me. You are all in my prayers!
